Harold Reeves, Photography
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Harold and his wife Sally have lived in Midway, Georgia for seventeen years where they raised their three children. They now have four grandchildren who live less than a mile away.
Harold was a biologist who taught science at several different public and private schools in the area, followed by work at the public library in Savannah for 8 years.
I have been taking pictures for more than forty years, after being introduced to the medium as editor of my high school annual , where I was loaned a 35 mm Pentax. I have used many different cameras since then, sometimes doing my own developing , until I discovered digital .
My love of Nature, teaching and digital photography fit together well. I have been focused on taking pictures of Coastal Georgia for about 18 months. I have accumulated more than 100,000 images in that time. I manage to get down to Harris Neck to see the birds and take pictures two or three times every week. I always find something different going on.
I do watercolors and acrylic from some of my photographs. I hope you enjoy my images.
