The Blessing of the Fleet is a huge three-day tradition in Darien. The event draws thousands of people to our small town as we celebrate the shrimping and fishing industry we're known for. Usually in April, the event kicks off shrimping season with Georgia shrimp, a street parade, a 5k run, a car show, the Sunday boat blessing parade, and vendors galore!
Art in the Park is the McIntosh Art Association's fine arts section of Vernon Square. You will find us between the Franklin Street gate and the Washington Street sidewalk in the northwest quarter of the park, selling locally penned books, photography, paintings, and fine crafts.
Applications for Artists are no longer being accepted. Contact us for 2027.
